The calculator walks the calendar between your two dates and counts only Monday through Friday. With the holiday option on, observed US federal holidays for 2026 and 2027 are also skipped.
Does it skip public holidays?
Only when you tick "Exclude US federal holidays." Without that option, every Monday-through-Friday is counted, even if it falls on a holiday in your country.
What counts as a business day?
Any weekday — Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, or Friday. Saturday and Sunday are never counted. This matches the convention used in most payroll, shipping, and contract calculations.
